Dear all,
I'm completely new with a M26 I bought this August. I'm searching for the year build of my boat. I assume it's in the late 80's, but I want to have it more clear. Unfortunately the plaque inside the boat has disappeared and no records about this boat were available. I only know that the sailnumber is 503 and Marek Janiec the IF chairman helped me to discover the build number 496 which he found in an old list from the Marieholm yard. Now my request: Is there anyone out there with a M26 Sailnumber 50... and can tell me which year build his ship has?

Hi,
As I understand, the first M26 was built in 1976, and the production continued until the early 80's, when the production shifted to the modified version M261. I would guess that your boat is from the late 70's or early 80's. I found this information on http://www.sailguide.com/batfakta/info.php?id=878.

Maybe your boat is an M261...?..
Our Marieholm delivery register does not differ between those 2 types.
How does it look like?

The M261 has higher freebords than the M26.

Looks like a nice Marieholm 26 for me..

I would guess its "bearthage" to be early or middle 80-ties, as newbuildings from Marieholm boatyard ended about 1985 and after your boat still almost 100 boats were built.

I have sail number 527, hull number 521, according to the builder's plate. It is an M261, built in 1980. Did the production of the 2 boats overlap?
