Hello, we are going to replace our winches with Anderson bottom handle winches-but..

How hard is access to the mounting? It looks like there is no way to get to the underside of the base. Is it through-bolted?

The plates of the winches are simply fastened from above by wooden screws. You will get access by dismounting the mechanics of the winch. Then use a large screwdriver...
